Gentle Linda!?!

I drew a lady named "Linda" this past Thursday. I am really enjoying the challenge of trying to capture a stranger's "essence" in a drawing. I am excited for the upcoming week's art session. Who knows who I will draw next?!?! And how much I will improve?!

Figure Drawing!!!!!

My new art class on figure drawing started this past week. So far, I really like the class; my teacher is hilarious and knowledgeable. I am excited to work on my artistic abilities for the next 3 months. It reminds me that it is never too late to develop your skills and talents.

The Grass Is Not Always Greener!!!

A very close friend of mine recently visited NYC, so I played the role of the knowledgeable tour guide. Playing a tourist in a city that I consider to be one of my oldest stomping grounds really helped me to realize that it is easy to convince yourself that an uncharted place is better. But that is not necessarily always the case. Sometimes, newer is not better. This realization reminded me that I have to learn to be grateful for what I have and where I am.

Canada!!!

So, one of my best friends and I decided to take a weeklong vacation in Canada; and it really shed some light on where I would like to build my life. I have visited many places in my life before, but Montreal is truly one of my favorite cities. It offered a lot of opportunities for walking and exploring. Plus, it was clean and the people were super neat. The trip really inspired some "projects" for me to work on for the near future.
