Toronto for 2 Weeks!!!!!

So, I recently went to Toronto, Canada, for 2 weeks for my new job. And it was definitely the most magical experience that I have ever had in my working life to date. I am crossing my fingers and saying my prayers in hopes that this will be just the beginning of a whole new and better life for me. #Gratitude #ProfessionalGoals #GoodWorkEthic #Sales

The Long Holiday Weekend

I have been running around, like a chicken with its head cut-off. So, it was really nice to spend Veterans Day with a new friend, exploring Discovery Park and the Ballard Locks. Sometimes, I get too fixated on being on top of the proverbial ball, and I need to come to my senses. #ChillDay

Class #2: The Joys of Learning

Well, I had more fun with Adobe Illustrator last night. It has been awhile since I have used such tools, but I am quickly relearning. It is one of the advantages of being raised with technology--it is a quick process to figure out how to use a new software. I just wish that I personally owned the tools, though. I guess I have some saving to do before I can equip myself with the tools that I need to integrate more technology into my own personal art projects. I should really look into a money tree. LOL!!!!

Adding to My Artistic Toolbox!!!!!!!!!!!!

It has been years since I last used Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator. But recently, I have decided to dive into the world of digital art. I was too comfortable with using a plain ol' pencil and some paper to create art. Over the years, I have forced myself to create art with watercolors, oil pastels, colored pencils, and beyond. It is very important for me to constantly find and master different tools and ways to express myself creatively; I enjoy the challenge.

Art has always been a constant in my life--something that I can turn to when I need something to make sense of everything around me. I will especially need art now, as I continue to create a new life for myself in the Seattle area. This move has not been the easiest, but finding the right fits for me should take time and should be a process anyway. These things do not happen overnight when done the right way. So, I hope to be taking more pictures and creating more art in general, as I try to piece together my new life out here.

Fall 2018!!!

It has been an amazing past 3 months: I worked a lot, learned new things, traveled quite a bit, and created more art. I am beyond grateful! Some more big changes are in the works right now, so I am putting all my efforts into making sure that all my ducks are in a neat row. A lot is up in the air right now, so to speak, but I do know that I will be learning and growing some more, so I know that I will end up in a better place, regardless. #Excelsior

Thoughts & Regrets

Lately, I have been thinking a lot about the past. I have recently thought about the opportunities that I missed and the mistakes that I made. I guess I have been reflecting on what I could have done differently, so I can avoid making the same mistakes and missing future opportunities. My biggest takeaways are: I need to avoid situations that I know from experience will not be good for me since I am only human and I am no chameleon; I need to be more grateful for what I do have rather than always focusing on what I do not since I luckily have more than enough; and lastly, I need to stop beating myself up for my past mistakes since I am no better or lesser of a person than anyone else. Everyone makes mistakes and no one is perfect, after all. #LetItAllGo

It Is All about What You Do with What You Have!!!!!

I managed to accomplish a lot in the first week after I resigned from and left my job: I visited Volunteer Park, I crossed the Evergreen Point Floating Bridge, I explored my favorite Seattle neighborhoods more extensively, and I even created more art with simple colored pencils and crayons. And although I did not earn any money last week, I feel like I have enriched my life and improved my well-being in more profound and long-lasting ways. In the past week, I have gotten a chance to reflect on the fact that there are always ways to create opportunities for yourself no matter what. You simply need to be creative, bold, and proactive!
