Keep Exploring & Creating!

And in my third week, I continued to explore the area. I even managed to capture some of the neat sights in pictures. And I finally purchased a sketch pad and pencils. The first picture atop is one of a drawing that I made a few days ago. It is incomplete for now, but I have time to finish it. I am making a point to explore and create every single day--even if only a little bit. I really need and want my move and transition to be successful, so being proactive and productive will hopefully result in positive outcomes for this year! #DayByDay #WeekByWeek

Art as Therapy!!!!!!!!!

I was pretty busy this week in general. I had a lot on my mind and a lot to do. But I still made time for my weekly art class; and it really pays off to devote time to what refuels you. I feel like I accomplished everything that I set out to do in the past week. Here is to resilience!

Not All Fortune Cookies Are Treats

I decided to eat at a Chinese restaurant for dinner last night. Luckily, I managed to convince them to let me order a "lunch special" dish. So, I was feeling like I was ahead of the game, so to speak, while I was leisurely eating my meal and checking my phone. Then, I opened up my fortune cookie. When did fortune cookies become so serious and grim? I remember more playful fortunes when I was a young boy. But this fortune does ring true. I am not quite sure how I feel about this one. :-/
